How can i fix my ipod touch 2g 16gb?

• i have a ipod touch 2g fully updated 16gb but when i listen to stuff on it through earphones or headphone a Only get one side of the earphone/ headphones working for example only the left side works. I can make both work by forcing the jack in but as soon as i let go it stops. I( then replaces the earphone and have tried many other pairs. Is there any easy fixes to do at home as i have no warrenty as it ran out. I dont really want to take the ipod apart and is it a sofwtare problem or a software problem? Please is there any easy fix step by step if possible. Thanks very much

  Firstly, i am 90% sure that its the fault of all your headphones. if i am wrong, then take it to the Apple Store, they don't need warranty. just say "hey dude, what is this **** i bought from you? I can't even listen to music properly....!" (be a little politer obviously :p) then they will say: "Oh i see, have you tried this?" then you will say: "omg no, but thanks i'll try this right away!" OR get a vacuum cleaner and suck out any dirt that might be stuck in the headphone jack OR connect your iPod to iTunes and press the 'Restore' button. if u are stuck, go to google and type how to restore iPod Touch. problem solved. good luck
