How do you download songs from itunes to your ipod nano? Do you have to sign up onto itunes to download songs?

If you have a giftcard for itunes how do you use it???? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! Thank you!!!

You have to transfer songs from a cd onto itunes OR buy music from the music store, both of which you have to have itunes to do. to put them on your ipod, just use the usb cord that should have been included with the ipod and sync it to the USB port in your computer. open itunes, and itunes will automatically download every song onto your ipod. if you don't want a certain song on your ipod, then uncheck it in itunes and it will not get downloaded. to take a song off of your ipod but keep it on itunes, uncheck the song in itunes BEFORE you sync your ipod, then sync it. the song will be removed. to use a gift card, look on the back of the card for a scratch-off area. scratch it off to find the code, then go to the Itunes store in Itunes and click "redeem" under "Quick Links" in the upper right hand corner. enter to code in the space and click "redeem". then a little box will appear near your account name that says how much money you have left to spend. when you buy a song, video, etc. money will be detracted, and if you buy something that costs more than the amount of money you have left, your account will be automatically charged. you have to have an account to buy anything on the itunes store. does that help?
