Is it illegal to rip cds and the put them on you ipod?

Help! I just bought Talladega Nights and i want to put it on my ipod, but when i try to rip it nothing happens

I have xilisoft dvd to ipod converter, dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, and videora converter. When i put in my dvd and click rip it starts to rip, but then slows down and stops! i dont know what to do. this has never happened! Please, i have to havew it on my ipod! If you have any free software suggestions i would be very grateful. Thanks

maybe the dvd is not working. just try to transfer files to ur pc then convert it.

i had the same problem when i tried burning tokyo drift... i use dvdfab decrypter and it worked right away... i was using dvd shrink before... just search dvdfab decrypter on yahoo and it will come up
