Does the SYNC have multimedia?

There are some songs im my library that i can't sync. Why can't i sync those songs and how can I sync them?

  • I downloaded some songs that were not from itunes. At first I could sync them on, but later, no matter how many times i sync them, them won't appear on my ipod. A gray circle with an exclamation mark appears next to it. I tryed to solve the problem by going to ipod and clicking music. i unchecked sync ipod and all my songs were deleted! i checked it, but only the songs that didnt have the exclamation marks made it on my ipod. 90% of my songs have exclamation marks next to them. What do the ! mean and how can i make those songs appear in my ipod again? the sync button appears, but the songs dont appear. Please help me!!

  • Answer:

Possibly these songs are in a format that the iPod doesn't recognize. Have you checked this possibility? If that's the case iTunes can convert them to a supported format. To convert a song's file format: Choose iTunes > Preferences, then click the Advanced button at the top of the window and click Importing. From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to, then click OK to save the settings. Select one or more songs in your library, then choose Advanced > Convert Selection to MP3, Convert Selection to AAC, Convert Selection to Apple Lossless, Convert Selection to AIFF, or Convert Selection to WAV. (The menu item changes to show what's selected in your Importing preferences.) To convert all the songs in a folder or on a disk, hold down the Option key and choose Advanced > "Convert Selection to," then choose the folder or disk containing the songs you want to convert. All the songs in the folder or on the disk will be converted except songs you purchased from the iTunes Store. (Purchased songs are encoded using a protected AAC format that prevents them from being converted.) I'm on a Mac, but I'm sure it would be similar on a Windows machine. I hope this helps you!
