How Jailbreak an iPod have touch?

How to jailbreak ipod touch ios 5.0.1 with redsn0w?

  • I have a windows 7 pc, and a white ipod touch 4g. I tried following the steps on youtube but i guess they're outdated or something. Redsn0w kept saying it couldn't recognize my build. I downloaded a firmware and went into the custom part of redsn0w and selected the firmware that i downloaded then it said that the build was recognized and it would be used for the rest of the jailbreak, it seemed to be working then but my ipod got stuck on a black screen with white text when i read it it said that it was switching over to jailbreak but then it said it was quitting so i put it in dfu mode and turned it back on. I've jailbroken my other ipod touch before... I followed all of the instructions, it just won't work. Please help!
