How can I change MP3 format so it will play on an IPOD?

Is there software out there that lets me change mp3 format to IPOD format without streaming it from my pc to my IPOD? Takes a while with eaudio books...

Answer:
If you have the iTunes software, it should be easy. Open iTunes Click Edit Choose Preferences In Preferences select Advanced Then select Importing It'll tell you what kind of format it uses to transfer to your iPod. I recommend AAC format.
