Can the iPod catch a virus?

Can an ipod become a virus holder?

  • like i know oyu wont get the question but i think my computer is infected right now and i have to charge my ipod.SO if i put in my ipod will my ipod like have the virus in my ipod and then when i get rid of the virus in my comp and plug back my ipod. will it infect my computer as well?

  • Answer:

My computer has spy ware and add ware on it. i think that's a type of virus. and i sync songs to it like everyday and it doesn't get infected. it plays just like normal, its safe to do so even if your computer is infected.(i no it sounds chancy) but i do it all the time.and it still plays like new. so....go ahead and sync the songs you love to your ipod girl(winks) lol

It depends on the type of virus, but I suugest you be on the safe side and not plug it in.

M0NE`!?!?

No your ipod itself cannot get infected. If the songs on the ipod are infected, then all I would suggest to do is find those songs and manually delete the songs and get them from a creditable source. The only thing at harm in this case is your computer.
