Can I jailbreak my iPod 4G using 5.0.1 version software? If so, how?

I want to jailbreak my ipod but everything says I have to have like 4.3. other junk version. How can I jailbreak my ipod using my current version. I just need to know how to Jailbreak my iPod as well because I don't know how to do that. Please help and thanks.

Yes, you can jailbreak iOS 5.0.1. At least I did. Unfortunately you cannot jailbreak straight off of your iPod. You have to download a software on your computer, install the .ipsw, then restart your iPod.
