I'm pretty sure that you are having the same problem as me. We are using a PC when Apple products are primarily designed for a Mac. We are going to have just wait for iTunes to take its sweet *** time to open and operate. Also, I hook my iPod in and then let iTunes recognize it when I am doing syncing. I have my settings to automatically update when plugged in. Try that setting if you already aren't. Hope this helped.

You first need to plug in your Ipod. When you sync in your Ipod, Itunes should then load after that. Also you need to put each CD in and make sure that everysong is in your library, and when all songs are in the library you should be to just drag and drop into your playlist. If you have a really slow computer that could also be another reason why it is taking so long.

it doesnt matter what you do. When you connect your iPod it should open iTunes. If it only takes a long time you probably have a really slow computer. If not, try getting a new wire.

Sounds like an old or overloaded computer. Try shutting down all unnecessary programs

iTunes should open automatically when it detects that the iPod has connected. I had that problem and I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and it worked fine.

I usually open up itunes before i plug in my ipod. Some things that can cause that problem is that the ipod is low on battery, is set to disk mode, compatibility errors, or the settings on your itunes are different. Try leaving the ipod there for about 5 to 10 minutes, if not, then on your ipod, go to settings (or extras im not sure which), and switch disc mode off. You can even try reinstalling itunes, but If all else fails, call apple.
