• Will your jailbroken ipod touch brick if you update it or what will happen? i had a ipod touch 2G before and i jailbroke it on spirit (firmware 3.1.3) then the 4.0 update came out so i updated it but it took so long so i click restore instead, it said it would restore and update it ( via itunes) but it bricked my ipod. so i bought a new ipod touch 2G (4.0). i was going to jailbreak the new one with jailbreakme.com 2.0. but what do i do if an update comes out? I heard of one way is this right or wrong do i use www.felixbruns.de to un jailbreak my ipod by installing the 4.0 firmware again then updating from that via itunes to the latest one . or Just restore it and update it or just hit update in itunes or is there another way that you update it? i dont want to brick it again. plzz help

  i think you have to take off the jailbreak stuff, update, then re-jail break it the way u need to for the newer firmware. that's how it was for the ipod touch at least. there's almost always a way to get out of a "brick", just sometimes its REALLY hard and technical though.
