I've just added new music to my itunes library, and when I try to sync it to my iPhone it won't work.?

It syncs my contacts and notes and videos, but when I go to look in the music folder of my iPhone (still on iTunes) I see the names are grey, just like when they're about to sync, but they're not in my iPhone. I tried restarting my computer and iTunes numerous times but it`s not working. Any ideas?
