How do I use a Apple Itunes gift card?

  • Hey yall, I got a $25 gift card for itunes and i want to use it for apps, but when i try to use it, it says i have to make an account and give them a credit card number like i'm really gonna keep buying things after the gift card is out....... how do i get around that so i can only use the gift card?

    if you're in Canada you have to use a credit card for apps it's just the way it is there's no workarounds

Giving them the credit card number is only to tell Apple if you're old enough to have an iTunes account, you can't get around it in any way.

You have to make the itunes account but just leave the spaces about the credit card blank. Soon after that you should get an opportunity to enter the code on the back of the itunes card.

That stuff is diffulcult , Apple Inc. Is always a pain , try googling it for a while , i just prefer doing it the hard ripping way for my music.

in canada itunes cards can only be used to download music and videos, you have to use a credit card for apps sorry... i learned that the hard way too :(

You have to make an account, I would do it, there really is no harm. As you said, if you're never going to use it again then it shouldn't matter.
