Jailbreaking ipod touch?

I need help with jailbreaking, upgrading, and installing apps on my ipod touch?

• OK, this is the first time I've tried to do anything like this to my ipod touch so i have a lot of questions: 1. What exactly is the SDK that is said to be available in February? Should I wait for this before I attempt to jailbreak my ipod? 2. What about the apps I can download from apple for $19.99? Isn't it true that there's a way to get these for free? 3. My ipod is currently is at 1.1.2. If I wanted to jailbreak it, should I upgrade to 1.1.3? What is the difference between the different versions? 4. Can you please elaborate on what exactly it means to "jailbreak" an ipod. I think I understand the concept, but not really, lol. Basically, I'm really confused. I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my ipod touch without these apps. I think it's be nice to be able to play games, write notes, and access web pages directly from the ipod main menu, which I think jailbreaking an iPod is all about. Any help is appreciated.

  jailbreaking the itouch is perfectly harmless, unlike the iphone which u can brick jailbreaking is adding an application (app) on your ipods home screne called installer where u can download games, notes, maps, all iphone apps, custom themes and backgrounds and much more DO NOT UPGRADE TO 1.1.3 basically the versiosn .1 .2 and .3 have all been made by apple to fix minor bugs on the system and to stop hackers from jailbreaking the thing coming from apple in february will allow u to "jailbreak your ipod without voiding its warranty) if u do jailbreak and restore your warranty is no longer voided the apps from apple for a huge 20 dollars are the notes application, stocks, google maps, and mail(all thigns u can get while jailbreaking) u r at 1.1.2 so downgrading to 1.1.1 and then jailbreaking is SUPER EASY here's how: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXfcnO4kjB4 this guys videos rock... on my ipod i can change backgrounds, play games, notes, stocks, mail, ps1 games, gameboy advance games, and much more also, around feb. ull be able to restore and do this apples way if u want to with no harm done, and as said above, you can ftp into your ipod which does not always work for alot of ppl, just check the comments on youtube videos for an idea of how many ppl cant do it. if u really get into jailbreaking and need to ftp a different way just email me
