How to get rid of ipod scratches?

  • I have a old ipod the very first types that came out. The white with silver back. Its big and chunky, with a black and white screen. There is no color in the screen. at all. I've had it ever since and i got a scratch in it. Do you guys know what i should use? I dont wanna try toothpaste...seems kinda risky. Friend says try brasso. Internet says try the apple ipod product. So u guys know what i should get, it doesnt have to be from those three choices...

    Scratch-X or any other auto polish (non abrasive) will work.

windex works pretty welll otherwise just take it to your local apple store. Those Genius's should be able to take care of a minor scratch pretty quickly../

Buy a new one if those scratches bug you and keep the other-- (the scratched one) as a back up I would not make the scratch any worse than it is. Or call 1-800-MYAPPLE to see if you can send it in and have the screen repaired or replaced

Brasso works, I used it to clean a CD that wouldn't be read by my PS2. But whatever you do DO NOT use Brasso on a white iPod, it turns it yellow. Brasso would be a great product if your iPod weren't yellow.

well what you should do is try the apply product i've used it and it works awesome and the other 2 choices are risky only use toothpaste for game disc and brasso not so sure!
