How To Play Jumpstart?

Can I learn to play the electric guitar if I don't know how to play an acoustic guitar?

  • Can some one also recomend a electric guitar starter kit, I have the Ibanez jumpstart JS40 in my mind. I want to play the guitar as a hobby not profession.

  • Answer:

Sure you can learn to play electric if you don't know how to play acoustic. It's actually better to learn electric first because it's not as harsh on your fingers when you're learning to play. As for starter kits, it all depends on personal preference but I will tell you that Ibanez makes very good guitars. Check out the link below to see some of the best deals on starter kits. This website also has a whole bunch of instructional books, videos, and DVDs on how to learn to play guitar (and I recommend teaching yourself over taking lessons -- waste of money and time basically).

Sure can! The electric will hide your mistakes more, though. I'd go with both! Have fun!

you'll learn the same way regardless. I would suggest learning on acoustic. the sound is more clear and would be better to hear your mistakes on.

Start with acoustic, after learning on an acoustic, playing the electric will be a toy...
