Welcome to the world of ipods. One of the many reasons I will never buy one. There is nothing you can do. If you use a different computer, it will delete all the songs you had. sucks doesn't it? Should have just bought a cheap little MP3 player, they are so much nicer. They don't break or screw up like the ipods. Glad I never bought one.....my sister has one and she hates it.

Ok, 1st calm down Now are these songs you purchased from Apple? If they are you should be able to access you purchase history and then re-download the songs. You will get a message that says something like "You have already purchased these, would you like to download again". I know this works with apps, but I'm not 100% sure on songs. 2nd it is really important that you backup your songs. Apple will tell you that they are not responsible which is true. You can use online programs like Carbonite that will automatically backup what you want when ever there is a change. It stores everything off site.

Well I don't blame you being pissed off.It looks like you will have to just buy some more songs and put them in you library. That has never happened to me before.Bummer.

oh that's happened to me. When you sync on another computer you lose your old stuff. call itunes or if you live around an apple store, go there

ipods suck for this reason. they delete everything on your ipod and re sync. if you try to use another computer (I have 2) and you don't have the same playlist or move the playlist (or music folder) you will lose everything. I'd recommend selling it and getting a better media device that lets you drag and drop songs like a hard drive rather than the crappy itunes system. I have 2 computers with different music on each so I can't use an ipod. the Zune has a better system and can be set up to show up like a folder that you can just add music to. I believe tehre are ways to hack the ipod to make it act more like a normal media device but I'm not sure how. you're better off with a different mp3 player.

did itunes deleted the songs from the computer too? you should have made a backup. its what i did. anyways, that is very rare for iTunes to do that cuz i had it setup to where it asks me if i want to do something as opposed to automatically doing it itself. if you still have songs in your iTunes, you should be able to put them back in. also, if you go around trying to add songs from an itunes that is in a different computer, it is no longer in sync with the original one. The iPod has to stay synced to only one computer, not two. What i do is use the iTunes from my pc as backup for the songs that i have in my macbook. that way if something were to happen, i can immediately back them up. You might have to get those songs again.also, search for them in the pc, just cuz itunes took them off the program, it doesn't mean they are deleted completely from your computer. Run a search and see if the songs are still physically in your hard drive.
