How do you convert videos for an ipod mini format with linux on the ipod?

I have an ipod mini with linux running on it. I cant figure out how to convert videos for the ipod mini format. i have a pre-converted sample video, so i know it works. has any one been succesful in converting there own video for use on an ipod mini running linux?

how did you hack the mini, are you refering to the nano, if its the mini how did you convert the gray scale screen, more info, ah your probably talking about the nano or a regular ipod

Refer back to me if I'm right but I believe the correct format for an iPod video to actually get into iTunes is the MP4 format. You should use a converter called Videora 9 for iPod or get the better version called winAVI converter. By the way Videora 9 is free so search it up on Google. I have it too but I prefer winAVI

I have never heard of an ipod mini that plays video.Maybe you have a generic ipod mini that plays video. The most memory on a mini is 4 gigs I think so it would not be able to hold much video.Email me and we will figure it out.
