What happens when you jailbreak your iPod touch?

When you jailbreak an itouch, you don't get anything more than the ability to install new icons, themes and applications. Jailbreaking by itself just removes the "lock" that prevents you from installing stuff to it. You will need to get an application called installer after you jailbreak your iTouch.
