Installing a iPod player in a car?

In car DVD player and ipod. ?

Hi I have an in car Nextbase DVD player. It has a video in and a USB slot. I have movies stored on my iphone and would like to use my iphone (or other ipod) to play movies on / through the in car DVD player. Is this possible ? If so, what leads do I need, as when I just plug into the USB slot with the ipod cable, nothing happens... Any help gratefully received!!!
Answer:

Doubtful seeing as the USB cable is only used for adding files n' such via computer. You'd need an A/V input on the DVD player and a cable that I've seen once ever, and that was in an A/V room. One side is a regular headphone plug, and the other is the 3 color A/V plugs. Assuming you have both of those, I'm not even sure if the iPod output includes video. Chances are it isn't worth the hassle.
