What are some good quality earphones or earbuds that you recommend?
-
My Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds that I bought for $10 in December broke today and I am considering buying new ones. I have a very low budget for headphones. The most I will consider for these is under $25. Are there any good headphones that you recommend at that price range, preferably if they block outside noise.

I'd say that Sony probably has the best earphones for the set price. All speakers sound different, including earphones, so remember what sounds good for you. Jaycar has some cheap in-ear headphones, but I don't know what these sound like. A few things I like to do concerning headphones: - If anyone's headphones "break", it is usually because a wire broke. I have scavenged some headphone drivers and rewired them using a small soldering iron. - The "run-in" process. This is basically playing full-range music through the phones at almost max wattage for the required amount of hours until they sound "transparent". Some people dis-agree with this, but I've found this to work [even with some really crappy phones], and my drivers haven't blown yet, so...

MAD DOG, you're suggestion isn't much better. I can only think of 10 mentionable Sony headphones: Qualia 010, R10, CD1000, CD1700, CD2000 CD3000, SA5000, XB700, and V6/7506/7509 All but the XB700 and V6 cost an exorbitantly high amount of money. For example, R10s regularly go for at least $4000. Anyways, JVC Marshmallows and Air Cushions are good. Sound Magic PL30s are also said to be amazing for the price.

Whoever said Bose is stupid! Any audiophile knows NOT to touch anything with the Bose brand. It's basically like buying a Toyota Corolla for the price of a Cadillac. If you want great headphones at $25, I suggest that you look at the SONY line.
I don't know if you've heard the expression but, "What you pay is what you get." If you are in search of some really good top notch headphones I suggest that you invest into some Bose headphones. I had a pair and those were amazing!
