How do I transfer music from my ipod to my computer?

Today I was updating Itunes to it's latest version. When I was done opened it, I noticed I've lost all my music, the entire library. Itunes doesn't allow to transfer the ipod's music to itself, so I have no idea what to do... Your answer will probably be a link to a download of a software that does so... So if it is, PLEASE make sure it is 100% FREE. I've downloaded about 6 of them and I ended up receiving a message that I only had the trial... And second, PLEASE include INSTRUCTIONS step by step on how to use the program.... But if there is another easy way, I accept it also, as long as you explain it. So... Yeah... How do I transfer music from my ipod to my computer?

I think you deleted the itunes instead of just updating it. just get all the music you actually want again from frostwire or limewire.
