How can I get movies from dvds to my ipod for free?

I have been looking, but i have yet to find, a software that can transfer FULL movies from dvds to ipod for ABSOLUTELY FREE. I hope someone can please answer this because I have looked for a long time. And by FULL movie, i mean at least, but hopefully more than, 2 hours.
