Personally, I believe the creative zen vision M is the best mp3 player. I own one, but went through a lot of research before buying it, which is very important. I think that everybody has their different preferences, and this one really grabbed my attention. It has a beautiful screen that can play movies and videos in extremely good quality. There is no limit how many computers you can get music from, or where you can get it from, and it supports most formats...(unlike the ipod). I am not an ipod slammer just becuase I have a creative, I am an ipod slammer because every single person I know that owns and ipod has had countless numbers of problems with them, not to mention the restrictions put on them, on how many computers you can get music from, and only being able to use itunes...I am sure there are ways around this, but why go through the trouble?...I am sure there are several other great mp3 players out there as well, just do the research and get what is best for your interest...I watched all of the little videos on CNet.com and read all of the reviews from consumers about the product...very helpful!

Well, I can tell you that even if I don't own one I know an Ipod is not...I only say this because in no way shape or form were they made to last. They really are throw aways you can't even replace the battery yourself and if you ask me I wouldn't spend that kind of money on something that I can't replace the battery in. I've also heard that in most cases if there is a major malfunction, be it battery related or what not, you have to ship them back to the factory and then spend another couple hundred dollars to get it back...I personally think that they are a waste of time. Just because a "big name" manufactored it, made all sorts of hype, everyone and their cousin bought one, but when you get down to it they are very unpractical. I own a Creative Zen Micro 5GB and I really do like it sure there are a few things that urk me about it (sometimes it freezes which is resolved by removing the battery) its electronic its bound to have a few bugs here and there and to be fair I'll say the same for all of you Ipod lovers out there and I'll give your merchandise the benifit of the doubt that it "might" be ok. On top of everything else it is practical. Has a removable battery, Touch pad, on off switch, and a hold setting, you can adjust the settings on the touch pad to your liking, it has FM radio and can record music or your voice, also has an option for removable disk. Over all I've had very few problems with it and in the end we shall see which lasts longer mine or some of the Ipods out there! 6months and counting baby! P.S. I also bought a Belkin Tune Cast II the FM transmittor for the car and it also works great I would suggest getting rechargable AAA batteries because if your in the car a lot and you stop and go it's going to be a battery eater so the rechargable ones would be a wise investment.

Personally, I like the Sony Hi-MD Mini-disc players... I like being able to have several 1 GB 'playlists' of MP3s. It eliminates a lot of the hassle of moving songs on and off the device. Sure, iPods and a lot of the like can hold more. But, I like the cartridge and device size, I like the variety of functions... also, I've never had a problem with any of my Sony MD players that wasn't caused by disastrous trauma (dropped in a running creek, run over by a car, peed in by a dog, etc) and my current I've had for over a year now. Also, mini-discs can hold other files as well, which is sometimes kinda nifty.

The Sony Walkman Core™ MP3 PlayerNW-E505PINK it has a night readable bright display, jog shuttle tuning, and a GOOD FM tuner. And its about the size of a pac of gum. 512 MB memory holds about 345 songs, perhaps less than an IPOD but I like it better because the display is so good at night.
