Does the DSi's firmware update automatically?

My 3rd gen ipod nano won't update its firmware (from 1.0.3 tp 1.1)?

• I connected my nano to my computer and an alert box asked me if i would want to avail of an update. Naturally, i clicked ok. So i had to keep my itunes open and download the update. When it was completed, I clicked "update" and it seemed as if my nano was updating. Then the ipod nano would restart, and after it was connected to itunes again, it would ask the first question once more (would you want to update to 1.1) and it just keeps repeating over and over, which means the update wasn't successful. Did anyone else have this problem? Or can anyone suggest a way to update my nano? :) thanks

  delete what u downloaded, re-download it again and possibly completely reset ur ipod before doing this
