How can I fix my IPOD?

Most of my iTunes songs somehow disappeared from my iPod Nano.......how can I fix this?

  • Like I said, it's the Nano version, the narrower kind. Anyway, I had around 260 songs on before, nearing the capacity. I bought a Rolling Stones song (You Can't Always Get What You Want.....great tune) and plugged the iPod into the computer to transfer. When I checked to see if it was transferred, the iPod had only 11 songs. Luckily, they are some of the best songs on the iPod. But still, I want my others back. I checked and this was NOT a playlist. The music library is still the same but I just can't transfer. First off, what happened? And how can I get the rest of the songs back on the iPod? I bought my favorite Stones song for a reason........

  • Answer:

it is possible you didnt eject your ipod properly. make sure you dont just unplug it, but eject it first then wait till it says its disconnected. that happened to me when i first got my nano, it lost my music bc i just unplugged it w/o disconnecting. i dont know why they wont go back on, that is odd. take it to an apple store & they should be able to help you, or at least answer questions
