It's simple... Go to your local RadioShack and pick up a cable that has an 1/8" plug on one end and two RCA (also called phono) jacks on the other. Ask for catalog # 42-2551. Connect the 1/8" plug into the speaker or headphone jack on the back of your computer. Connect the two RCA jacks into any input on the back of your stereo (except phonograph/record player). Select the input you plugged into and enjoy! If you are connecting your tv, you would need to have a headphone jack for this to work. If you don't have a headphone jack you can use any available audio out. If your television doesn't have an audio out, you're out of luck.
