Will ir harm my i pod nano? these are the insturnections i got form embiloez./something liek that.1o points!! Before you start, identify what type of iPod you have. Go to the "Music" menu on your iPod. If you see "Search" at the bottom, you have a 5.5g. If you don't see search, you have a 5g. Installation Instructions Step 1: Extract the ZIP file. Step 2: Plug in your iPod. Make sure it is enabled for disk use, and the "Do Not Disconnect" logo is flashing. Step 3: Open up your iPod in "My Computer". Enable hidden files and folders in "Folder Options". Step 4: Open up the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 5: Paste the folder into the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 6: Open up iPodWizard (it's a standalone file, no need to install) Step 7: Change the edit mode to "Firmware File". Step 8: Click "Open Firmware" and choose either "5g Firmware.bin" or "5.5g Firmware.bin" based on weather you have a 5g or a 5.5g iPod. If you choose the wrong one, you will have to boot into disk mode and restore your iPod. (Download the firmware from http://www.emobilez.com/ipod/firmware/ ) Step 9: Click "Write to iPod" Step 10: Follow the instructions on the screen. Eject the iPod when it is done. Step 11: Reset your iPod by holding in the center button and play/pause button until the apple logo appears Step 12: Go to Extras > Games on your iPod, choose your game, and enjoy. -------------------- -Brought To You By!- -eMobilez.com Team!- --------------------

Answer:
it is probably the generation the game works on. 5 gb is a lot of memory. even if the game is 5 gigs it shouldn't harm your i pod it will just take up most of the memory if you have a 8 gig

you must be out of your mind. you would accept a firmware update from a 3rd party? if you dont understand what you are doing, then you should not be doing it.

It won't work on your Nano. The 5g and 5.5g the instructions refer to are the 5th generation and 5.5 generation full size iPods (the last full size iPod before the iPod Classic). If it were gigabyte, it would be abbreviated GB. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't download anything from that site anyway. They're mucking about in the iPod's firmware. That's a good way to turn an iPod into a paperweight if everything doesn't go just right.

Well first of all, it would take up a lot of you're memory and leave you little to put songs on it. Games shouldn't harm it, but it really just depends on where you get the game, and who created the game. Well i hope this helps you to figure out what you want to do!

If you don't have the right ipod i don't think it shud harm it (but it shouldn't work). Ive never tried a game that wasnt compatible on mine. and ya, go to the IPW (ipodwizard wiki site) and look at their chart taht identifies all the different generations of Ipod. The original Nano (thin one) is compatible with IPW so no problem there. Edit: Oh ya, 5g and 5.5g is the Ipod Video so no these games are not gonna work and if u flash that firmware on then it will brick your ipod. DONT DO IT!!!!

it will not harm your ipod but it is illegal and accepting firmware and trying to install it when you dont know what your doing is a BAD IDEA

Well I have a 80gb video iPod classic, and I can put just about any game on their without it causing harm to my iPod. What you need to do is verify how much space you actually have available after putting in your music then go to iTunes and buy the game or games directly from their that way you know for sure the game will be compatible and it wont cause harm. Worst case scenario...you fill up you iPod and end up having to delete some music.

nope, but it wont fit

it should work as long as you have a 5th generation (the newest ipod) with all the updates (5.5)
