    Hey! I'm actually using my iPod touch to answer this question! My favorite free apps are definintly pandora radio, drawsome, instagram, all the social networking apps I.e (Facebook, twitter, tumblr etc) I also played games like temple run, snappers, uno words with friends, hanging with friends, scramble, and so many more! When you get the iPod you'll see that there's an app store and they have a list of the top rated free apps! There's quite a few to choose from! Enjoy it! It's great! But, some suggestions are to get a case and a screen protector! My iPod dropped and the screen is cracked! But other than that, have fun! And happy birthday!

TEMPLEE RUNN~~ DRAw SOMETHING (It actually cost money but theres a free version that's not lite ^__^) You can get the other games that cost money, but its the lite version witch means its not the full version its like a demo.
