How to transfer songs to library?

  • I just got a new ipod touch to replace my old ipod nano. I already have i tunes on my computer and everything. I want to give my old ipod to my step dad but i need to erase my songs from it first. The problem is that I want to transfer the songs from my ipod to my itunes music library so I can put them on my new ipod. My itunes music library does not have all the songs on it that i have on my ipod nano. I have tried everything to transfer my songs from my ipod to the itunes music library. Right clicking. Dragging it ......everything!!!! My new ipod is synced and and ready to go. I plugged both Ipods into itunes and i even tried to directly transfer the songs from my nano to my touch. It didn't work. Did anyone else have the same problems? How can i transfer the songs from my ipod nano to my itunes music library?

    You need a third party program to do that. Use Yamipod for PC, Senuti for Mac. When you're done, back them up this time.
