How do you set up a multifunctional TV remote control?

Plz help!!! how do you set up a phillips remote control, to a citizen tv, the switcher has input and tv,cable?

and dvd buttons, also there is guide menu info and exit buttons.... can anyone tell me how to set this remote up, because i just moved into my apartment today, and that's what was there
