Where Is Cheapest Sony Bravia In Bangkok?

Possible bait and switch on Sony Bravia 40" LC TV from Walmart?

• I purchased what I thought was a Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV (Model KDL40S100) from Walmart on Superbowl Sunday. I was in the store last night and I noticed that the display model was different than what I took home. I checked the Model number on the Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV that we took home and it is a model KDL40S504. I wrote to Sony last night and the Customer Service Person told me they have the same specifications and the KDL40S504 is a new model. I guess I should be able to believe Sony, but I had to ask several times before she told me that and she never really gave me a straight answer. I also called Best Buy and they told me the KDL40S504 was a Black Friday special, they don't carry it and it doesn't have as many fuctions. I would appreciate any input, as I just want to make sure I didn't get the "bait and switch" for an inferior tv from Walmart.

  The easy solution if you're unhappy with the set is to box it up (you kept the packaging, right?) and take it back to Walmart for a refund. You have 30 days. Before making another purchase, note the model number of any set that interests you, then go home (or use your iPod, Blackberry etc.) and check that model on the manufacturer's web site. Note the specifications and make sure you're happy with them. Then check it on Amazon.com for customer reviews. You'll then be equipped to make a well-informed purchase of a set that should be thoroughly satisfactory.
