What channel is this On HBO?

I have basic cable and supposedly this week HBO is giving a free week. My question is what channel do I put my

  • tv on to find it? I looked it up on the listing and it said channel 511. I am in a fog about this, as all I am savvy to are channels that go up to 99 on my tv. So, how do I access HBO?

    You're out of luck with basic cable. That channel is in the digital list of channels. You need a box in order to access those channels, especially since most TVs only go to 100, even the newer ones don't go that high without a cable or satellite box. Try pressing those numbers on your remote & most likely, you won't even get to tune into it or any other near it.

hmmm, you might be able to unblock those channels. When you first get a TV it runs through all the channels and sees which ones are clear and which ones have no signal. Try running that process again.

Try channel 16. Been awhile since basic but try it.
