I need help getting more channels with my antenna regular tv no cable?

Hi I have a sony bravia hd tv but recently my cable got disconnected so I went to the store to buy a antenna , I also heard that with an hd tv you don't need a tv converter so I just bought the antenna anyways when I hooked it up I only got 10 channels and these channels are foreign I wish to more channels any help?

dear friend first ask sony agency for being aware that your tv is digital+analog or analog only. then ask a tv repairman in your city that how many analog and digital channels are broadcasted in your city.good luck
