I have a mitsubishi tv and I am trying to get it out of 480i strech to 1080i, how do I do that?

Answer:
You need a 1080i signal to get those formats to appear.... So get the HDMI input or the Component input connected from your box to your TV set first.... Then make sure your HD converter is outputting 1080 and NOT 480..... Then you will see the 1080 standard and zoom modes appear....
