What are the lines on my plasma TV?

I have two white lines on my Maxent 42" Plasma TV?

  • These two white lines are on the left side from top to bottom. Not very big but annoying. What is wrong with my TV? Is it a certain CCA in the tv that needs adjustment or replacement? Thanks.

    For a plasma or a LCD TV display, there are transistors involved, one for vertical and another for horizontal which determine what pixels are energized and light up. So, if you have a line, then the transistor which controls the whole line is involved, most likely failing in the ON state which means all colors are ON all of the time which makes a white line. So, you do nothing and accept the defect (check your warranty) or you get it fixed.

This is a warning sign that it's on it's way out. If it is still under warranty , you need to send it in for repairs. There is nothing at all you can do except watch it until it goes white or send it in for repairs.

mine does that too. it only happens though when i watch an nbc program in HD. im not sure if its a problem though. i think it just has to do with how they broadcast it.

first you dont have to say 42' .just call cable man or tack to the shop if still ander warranty... ;)
