Which lcd monitors have TV /Video game inputs?

Is it safe to connect a video game console to an LCD screen tv or a Big screen TV?

  • I've heard before that connecting video game consoles to Big screen TVs can ruin/burn the TV screen. Is this True?

  • Answer:

Rear projection, projection, and plasma TV's can suffer from burn-in (in newer sets, it's becoming less of an issue, but it still is indeed an issue). LCDs will never suffer from burn-in (though some pixels can become temporarily 'stuck', but return to normal when the picture on the screen changes significantly).

Its safe I have an LCD TV and use it all the time the only way it will burn the screen is if you leave a game on pause for hours and hours at a time.

it does but over a long period of time but it is safe

It depends on the type of television. An LCD model should be fine. Plasma tvs on the other hand will have some issues over time.

I use a 32 " Sony CRT True flat panel . The CRT direct view tube(screen) is not affected by the high gaming graphics, whereas the big screen ones get burn in after a while. Besides that, using the big screen for gaming ties up that TV for anyone not thrilled with gaming.
