Traditionally the January Sales are good times for bargains. Shops clear out their old stock and get rid of stuff leaf over from Christmas. But don't bank on that as a guaranteed time for buying cheap tellys. The best time to buy a set is just before the manufacturer replaces the model. For example, Panasonic tend to give their television sets a life of between six and nine months. If you keep an eye on their manufacturer's web site "on line shop" then sooner or later you'll see models that aren't yet in the shops. Bigger department stores will often sell off the "preceeding" model cheaper to make way for the new ones.

The Tank

There are offers around all year, if you search the internet. Older models need to be got rid of; don't expect to get the latest on the cheap.
