Windows Mobile 6.1 Help?

Samsung LNT4661 or LNT4665?? Which is better for me? Please Help?

  • Ok well here is my arrangement: I have a apartment that has light coming from a balcony window which can be closed with closed with vertical blinds and curtains in my living room where I would like the tv to be to the right. There are two standing lamps in this room as well. With these two sets being my targeted options which is the best for my living arrangement the 61 or 65??? I have already seen both sets in store. I just really need some help finalizing my decision. What do you think is my best option. I heard about the 4665 glare issue but I heard it was easily managable if there is not a lot of windows. I heard the 4661 was just as good but has a lower contrast ratio. What do you all think. Help me choose please Tv uses will be for Xbox 360 Watching Standard Dvds Watching standard def tv Watching hd tv Watching sports

  • Answer:

The model 4661F has a typical mat finished LCD screen & will produce far less glare & refelctions. The Model 4665F produces more reflections & glare than the new plasma TVs with their anti-refelctive filters, though the glossy screen does enhance the blacks on this TV. Niether of these TVs has a gaming mode for a real-time gaming experience (can you say lag) & they do not have any compensation circuits for LCD motion blur/jitter. I don't think either is your best choice based on your viewing critiera. The Samsung model 4669f would be a better choice. With its mat finished screen, brighter image and AutoMotion Plus LCD motion blur compensation, this TV fits your viewing list better though it also does not have a gameing mode. Also consider the new Panasonic TH42PX80U. Significantly less glare (much less than the 4665f), increased brightness (as bright as the 4671f), better blacks, gaming mode and can be purchased for less than $1080.00 right now.

I say go with the plasma. Even though there will be some glare, the picture for fast motion such as sports and gaming is much better. The reduce the glare issue, have the TV calibrated after about three months.
