Go to your local electronics store and purchase a programmable universal remote. "But the tv wont turn on without a remote and I cant program the remote without power to the tv..." YES YOU CAN! Your tv doesn't have to be on to program a universal remote. When you buy a universal remote it comes with a huge list of tvs and brands. You find yours on the list and punch in the code to the remote. Then you press the power button on the universal remote and THEN your tv will turn on.

I'm sure the instructions for programming the remote says to turn on the TV first, but that isn't necessary. Enter the code as instructed, and when you get the correct code the remote will turn on the TV. I've never seen a TV without a power button.
