Is it possible to buy a flat screen tv without a tuner?

HELP!!! Cables and my new DVD player to go along with my flat screen TV.?

  • Okay... I bought this new flat screen TV about, maybe, a year ago, maybe alittle less than a year. It's a Phillips 20" Flat Screen(or 21" I'm not exactly sure). I have asked people at Radioshack (I bought my TV from Walmarts) and they said it would work with the Digital switch, and that I didn't need a Converter box. I am not recieving HD channles and my roof antenna supposively works with HD. How can I get them? Also, I just bought this FANCY DVD player, that records VHS to DVD. This DVD player has an option for HD channles (it says DTV on the remote) but my TV doesn't get any HD channles. And their is jacks in the back for Y, PB/CB, PR/CR in my DVD player and in my TV. Where can I buy the cables for it and how much do they run? As you can tell, I'm a lil bit behind! :-) ---P.S.- My DVD player is a Magnavox DVD recorder & 4 head Hi-Fi Stereo VCR with Digital Tuner. ZV450MW8 is what it says on the box. ---PLEASE I NEED SOME ANSWERS.

Other answers

First of all does your TV say it is HD ready or do you need a HD converter box to get the signal? Secondly, you can get the cables at any Radio shack store.
