Which LCD HD TV is better? I want to buy a 42"-47" tv but am not sure which brand is better. I've read some?
-
blogs that say Vizio is not a good brand, for it burns out in about 2 years--i'm talking about an LCD. I rather not pay over 1 thousand. But more like 6-8 hundred dollar range. Which brand is the best. I would also prefer at least 120Hz. Will prices drop after the Superbowl?

Answer:
Samsung and Sony are top quality brand and have great picture quality. If you prefer 120Hz I would recommend Samsung LN40B630 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV. It is over your budget but great picture quality.High 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, fast 4ms response time http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U3Y8Q8?ie=UTF8&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001U3Y8Q8 or for your budget Samsung LN40B530 40-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV is a good choice. http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26redirect%3Dtrue%26ref_%3Dsr%255Fnr%255Fp%255Fn%255Fsize%255Fbrowse-bin%255F3%26bbn%3D979929011%26qid%3D1264890794%26rnid%3D1232878011%26rh%3Dn%253A172282%252Cn%253A%2521493964%252Cn%253A1266092011%252Cn%253A172659%252Cn%253A979929011%252Cp%255Fn%255Ffeature%255Fthree%255Fbrowse-bin%253A724227011%252Cp%255Fn%255Fsize%255Fbrowse-bin%253A1232882011&tag=computer0bd-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Basically... you get what you pay for. ALL the names you have been hearing for years.. i.e. Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, LG, Magnavox, etc. are the ones to go with. For they have been building them the longest and have gone through the problems other makers haven't yet. LCD is a fairly new technology, so all the bugs haven't been worked out yet. Most brands like vizio are off-set brands usually owned/made by another company or the store of purchase. Made to meet the demand for flat-screens at a CHEAP price. Like I said... you get what you pay for. You could get a a vizio and have it last awhile but most likely not. Go with what you know, you'll thank yourself later. I would go with panasonic, best pic for the price. Do you own research and don't listen to (most) sales people And yes!! Prices should drop after super bowl... unless you find some crazy deal before then.

lol they have been lowing the prices on the flat screens a week before super bowl. Do not get a Vizio.

Samsung or Sony would be best for LCD. Prices will drop as new models come out in the Spring.
