Is it possible to use a splitter on my cable outlet to get both tv and internet?
-
I have just internet at my apartment and one wall outlet for the cable. Is it possible to split the cable cord in order to have both TV and Internet? I want to use the one cable, split it, and have going two ways. My cousin wants to watch TV but can't because I need the internet for school. So a splitter seemed reasonable, but I don't know if it would work.

Answer:
What ☮ said, but if you do have a cable tv subscription then yes. In fact, the cable installer should've connected one when it was installed. If you ask, your cable company should give you one.

If you aren't paying for a TV subscription, there probably isn't a TV signal being routed through that cable.
