I want to connect my hdmi cable to the rca in my tv but the colors on the cable don't match the tv.?
-
In other words, the colors on the cable are green, blue and red and the colors on my tv are red white and yellow. Do the colors matter or should i get a cable that matches?

Answer:
First, that's not an HDMI cable. What you're describing is the set of component cables (red-green-blue video plus red-white audio). Next, what are you connecting to the TV? What outputs does it have? One way or another, you need to match up an output on your source (whatever you're connecting) to an available input on your TV. If your TV only has RF (antenna) and composite (yellow-red-white) inputs, you can't connect something to that TV with component cables.
