Hi. I would like to know which HDMI cable do I Need to buy,for a tv I'm planing on buying. The Samsung LN46A650 120Hz 1080P LCD tv? I'm confuse as to which version of HDMI cable to buy.Do I need to buy a male to male type cable,or do I need to buy a male to female type cable? Another question I have is what is the latest version of HDMI cable to come out? I read in a lot of places that version 1.3 is the latest, but my brother tells me that they supposedly came out with version 2.0.Is that true? He also tells me that not all HDMI cables are compatible with xbox and Sony's PS3. Somebody please help!

Answer:
I just got this Samsung LN-46A650 a couple weeks ago and after a couple weeks of watching BluRay movies with a PS3, HD programming & HD sports via Comcast Cablecard in a TivoHD & an off air antenna, viewing family photos & movie trailers from an Apple TV, and playing Call of Duty 4 & Burnout Paradise on a PS3, and....this TV is freaking incredible! I highly recommend buying through Amazon. Transaction was a breeze. Click to amazon site, that sell LN46A650 with Cables To Go 98035 Premium HDMI v1.3 Digital Audio/Video Cable (8 Feet, Black/Grey) Price For Both: $1,527.82 free shipping http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN46A650-46-Inch-1080p-120Hz/dp/B001413D94/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1235882572&sr=1-2&tag=commentglitte-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

A 1.3a version is more than good. You'll be fine with it and seriously don't buy the ones at Best Buy or w/e they charge you like $80 for the cable while you can buythem for $20 or less in other stores or w/e. They're all the same based on version # so just buy the cheapest one. I bought my 6 ft hdmi cable on amazon for a penny, literally. All I had to pay was the shipping.

Yeah you should be find with a regular 1.3a HDMI cable and make sure it is rated to compress 1080p signal instead of a lot of cheap "o" HDMI cables that are only rated for 1080i usually...The cheapest one that works.. is the best policy for HDMI..

Here is a 1.3b compliant cable. Much cheaper than the store retail equivalent. This cable will be fine for years to come and will cost you about 6 bucks.

Any regular HDMI cable will work, I bought mine online from this store for less then $10. It has worked well for me so far. http://www.inspiretech.com/c-31-hdmi-cables.aspx
