Which should I choose, a Sony LCD rear projection or an Olevia LDC flat panel?
-
They're both around the same price and size. I know that Sony is a better brand, but does the flat panel create a better picture than the rear projection?

Answer:
"but does the flat panel create a better picture than the rear projection?" No. I have a Sony rear projection and its picture quality is just as good if not better than many plasmas and LCD's. BUT if you have limited space you CANT mount a rear projection TV. This is an important factor to consider. I went with the rear projection cause it saved me a bundle of money but if you want to mount you have to go plasma or LCD.
