Where To Watch Online 3d Movies?

If the TV isn't a 3D model but is HD can I use a 3D blu ray to watch non 3D movies? ?

Sounds weird I know..but I'd like to buy my mom and dad a blu ray player for Xmas. They have a nice Samsung LED HDTV but an old DVD player. The blu rays comes with wireless Internet options like Netflix and pandora ..etc. but it is also 3D. Which is fine as one day I'm sure my dad will get a 3D capable tv.. Not just right now. So if I got them the blu ray with 3D will they still be able to watch blu ray movies (that are not 3D) and watch DVD movies on the blu ray? They don't have to view 3D only movies right? And I assume they can't watch 3D blu rays anyway..not until their tv is updated to 3D.. But regular non 3D disks will work right? Just need to clarify before I purchase it online. Thanks do much...

Yes if you buy a 3d blu ray player. You can watch DVDs, blu rays and 3d blu rays. 3d is just an added extra just in case you do get a 3d ready tv. If you want to get a DVD player a 3d one is a must have as it can play everything and it is future proof.
