((HELP!!))-I've found this website with unbelievable deals on T.V.'s, How do I know if the site is SAFE&REAL?
-
Hello, I've recently posted this question, but I forgot to post the website! so.. To ALL who helped the first time around, thanks alot, but I'll write it again for those who are reading for the first time.. I've come across this website in my search for great deals on flat-screen tv's, and the deals on this website are unbelievable! Literally! The website is called "preciousdeal.com", but the deals on this site are so great, I just don't know if I can bring myself to believe that they are LEGIT?! I guess it's a big like, surplus factory outlet type wholesaler or something... They have pictures on the site of their factory and all that, They even have pictures of all these certificate looking things in Chinese writing that are framed, if you just look under their, aboutUS link, I believe it is. I'm assuming it's their credentials?.. I just don't know what to think of these guys?.. They do recommend you use a paypal account as your payment option, and they ship through all major carriers, (UPS,DHL,FedEX,etc..) ..So that kinda help them seem somewhat trustworthy, somewhat... Hopefully somebody can check it out and make some sense of it, and be more of a help to me than I can myself? ..I would GREATLY appreciate any help. But, if anyone can assure whether or not it is SAFE TO BUY from this site, it would be amazing!! ..Thanks for your time.

Answer:
100% scam. That is a fake website pretending to sell cheap merchandise. Any site that advertises merchandise cheaper than the official manufacture's website is a fake site shipping gosh awful crappy knock-offs or simply collecting cash and not even bothering to ship fakes. The pictures on the site look like the real merchandise because those pictures ARE of the official merchandise. Those pictures were stolen from the official manufacture's website. If you receive anything at all, which is doubtful, it will not resemble those pretty pictures at all. The payment options say it all, Western Union, moneygram, paypal and bank transfer. Those are the 4 most scammer friendly payment methods available. The credit card icons are just there for show, that site does not accept credit cards, only anonymous cash payments. Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever. Paypal can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal your money and disappear. No money in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account means absolutely no possibility of refund for you. Your bank can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal the money you transferred. No money in the account means absolutely no possibility of you getting your hard-earned cash back. In all seriousness, when something goes wrong, what will you do? Send an email that is ignored and blocked? Send chat requests until you are ip banned? Call internationally and speak fluent Chinese? The UPS, FedEx and DHL icons are there only to take up space, that site only ships with EMS, the Chinese post office, good luck getting the "tracking number" they give you to work on the EMS website. You will need even more luck trying to contact EMS when your tracking stops and your "package" is lost somewhere. You could then be really lucky, your "package" is found, seized by "customs" and all you need to do is pay even more cash via Western Union or moneygram to the "custom's official". That "custom's official" will use a free email address just like that site has a free email address as its only contact information. Free email addresses are easy to open and close completely anonymously.

Watch out for the tiny print that states "refurbished" in addition to the other concerns. The old adage especially holds true for "fantastic" internet deals...If it sounds to good to be true! You know the answer.

Never pay for a TV until you have seen it working, and buying by mail is very dangerous . What do you do if it breaks down and the company goes bust.

Beware buying by mail. Service and returns are the pits. Here is the skinny: Manufacturers slightly change the model numbers on their products that don't meet specs and forbid their regular dealers from selling them. I took the numbers from an appliance and asked a dealer. Model numbers are so long that no one (you and me) can check up on them. Look at the VIN in your car ! Go to the library and read Consumer Reports Magazine. Last month's issue had a big research article on TVs. Local dealers and name brands are where it is.

you paid less - but at the end paid much more. buying TV from " other countries " is take high risk . TV maker ( BRAND ) sold the SAME MODELS worldwide but with difference TV system / digital tuner / AC voltage . you may unable to use the TV in you countries. consider also warranty issue . you don't really save allot . first steps > can you assure is the RIGHT TV system and digital tuner also AC voltage ? remember. local TV retailer never make high profit from new TV. any things much lower prices - must be " reason ' behind. i should said - not safe in many area as TV maker sold the same models to every distributor prices difference is not more than 6 % in general.
