What is the best Sony 1080p T.V?

32" Sony Bravia 720p or Vizio 32'' Class Java Series Full-HD 1080p Which Tv is better?

  • I have been looking at Tvs for a while now trying to figure out what one to buy for my first lcd tv i finally decided on 2 either the 32" Sony Bravia 720p or the Vizio 32'' Class Java Series Full-HD 1080p. Can someone help me out on which one to buy? I have always loved sony products but the vizio is full hd and 1080p. should i buy the top quality in sony or should i get the vizio because it is full hd and 1080p? is there a big difference between the 720p and the 1080p full hd? i dont know that much about this stuff can someone please help me out?

  • Answer:

1080p only matters if you're at 42" or bigger. Some will argue 37", but to me 42" is the bottom ladder rung, not 37". So don't get hung up on that. If you can get 1080p in a TV that you like and is in your budget, great, but don't spend more on 1080p at that size, or pick 1080p over other important features. Sony is going to give you a better image than Vizio. Vizio is definitely an up and coming manufacturer. But they make great budget TVs, whereas Sony makes great TVs. Sony will have better picture quality.

I would get the sony. It's not 1080p but it's the next best thing and you can't really tell the difference, I have a 50" panasonic and it looks great and its 720p NOT 1080p.

The BEST way to figure out which one is BEST... Go find a LOCAL service center.... Then you'll KNOW who is the BEST. And it doesn't start with V...

I would go with the Vizio only because1) the price will be cheaper but2) if you can get HD digital tv programming and a bluerayplayer the Vizio will be just as good as the Sony. You will be surprised what the best 1080p signal can do for a t.v. I have compared a Sanyo 42" 1080p with a Panasonic Plasma 42" 720p tv at Sam's Club by using a blueray movie on both and the Sanyo looked better! even though the Panasonic is a better quaity product in the industry. There is no doubt the Sony bravia probably has better contrast and a higher refresh rate i think 120hz but again 1080p signals do wonders even for some lowerend tv's. Have a look at the website CNET they have alot of info on tv's. Good Luck
