If this lcd tv good for a ps3 console?

PS3 HDMI not working with Sony Bravia LCD TV?

  • Hi Guys, i recently bought PS3 Slim and HDMI cable, i do have Sony Bravia KLV-32T400A LCD TV http://www.sony.com.sg/product/klv-32t400a The problem that i am encountering is that when i connect my ps3 using hdmi cable i dont get any display on the TV and i tried every possibility that i could find on the internet. i first tried connecting my ps3 with TV using both- AV cable and HDMI cable.. then i navigated to display settings and chose hdmi as output but it threw me back to the pervious setting after 30 seconds.. i chose hdmi as external input in my tv settings but no display.. my ps3 at first detected hdmi cable and asked me to select yes to configure but still i got blank screen.. any idea ? my cable is fine.. if anyone has the same tv then kindly share your experience with me.. . btw does my tv support 1080p? as written in specs on the website...because some people says its hdmi ready so it wont suport 1080p....some people said it supports 720p not 1080p..then why 1080p is mentioned in the specs? Thanks in advance..

  • Answer:

I don't know why you tried to connect via HDMI and AV cables. The HDMI cable is both audio AND video feed. You just need to find an HDMI port on your TV that says "Input" or "HDMI 1" and plug the cable into said port. Then, turn on your PS3 and push the button on your remote or tv that says "Input" until the screen says "HDMI" and then you can play. You don't need to mess around in the menus or worry about the resolution, the PS3 and the TV handle that.
