Are all PS3 Blu-Ray Drives Interchangeable?

Which Bluray player to get? PS3 or Sony BDPS360?

• I was going to get the PS3 so I can play some games as well, but primary use is for Bluray movies. After all, I heard that the PS3 had high visual quality just like the other regular Bluray players. But then I saw this on the Sony BDPS360: "With Full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema output, Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology, support for Deep Colour video output and AVCHD discs encoded with x.v.Color (xvYCC) technology, the BDP-S360 Blu-ray player delivers an unrivalled high definition viewing experience." I don't think the PS3 has 24p Cinema whatever and all these other features. Does this make the Sony BDPS360 the much better Bluray player? Which one should I get? I don't mind either for their functions. If I get the PS3 I will buy some games to play, if not, then I'll just watch Bluray movies on the Sony BDPS360. Thanks for your help.

  PS3 can do everything the BR player as well as play games. It is up to you to decide how important that is. As for blue ray players, I bought a Sony BDP-N460 because it also connects to your router. I can watch netflix movies on this thing for free since I already have a netflix subscription. It can receive about 30 different services, most of which I have never heard of. If you do get one, get a fast 1 or 2 gig memory stick for the back.
